Ketchikan, Alaska
I love getting a call for work from a business I already know and love. The owners and people at the Asylum welcomed us when we first moved to Alaska, and its a place that has been a part of our Ketchikan lives ever since. So, of course, I was so excited when they called and asked if I could build a website for them!
Step One: Discovery
All LCM projects start with Discovery. Even though I knew a lot about this business (as a long time customer) the Discovery phase was still crucial to learn more about the inner-workings of their business and their goals.
Step Two: Website
To start with, Asylum already had a few things in place. They had an existing logo and definite identity that carried throughout the entire bar. They also already owned their domain name. So, we began with their domain and developing a design that would carry their visual identity from the bar to the web.
There were several goals for this site that we accomplished: first, to showcase the unique features that the Asylum had over it’s competitors. Second, to advertise all of the events they regularly host. Third, to sell merchandise through the website.
The final site is a WordPress site. It’s mobile-responsive and easily editable. The site includes tons of photography, an extensive Events page, a showcase of all of Asylum’s unique features, and a Store where people can buy all of their Asylum gear.
